OPERATION: Red Danger
1. SITUATION
Enemy Forces:
- Composition: Approximately 400 insurgent fighters. Significant motorized capability including multiple APCs and technical vehicles.
- Disposition: Heavily entrenched across the valley floor and surrounding ridgelines. High concentration of MG nests and mortar pits as previously identified.
- Intelligence Update: * HVT-4 is assessed to have exited the AO following the compromised recon mission last week.
- Primary objective has shifted to the recovery of hard-copy/digital intelligence suspected to be located within the central Command Area.
Friendly Forces:
- Air Support: Two Australian F/A-18 Hornets are assigned for duration of the op.
- Ordnance: Total of four (4) GBU-12 laser-guided bombs available.
- ROE: Authorized for use on targets within the AO and any hostile elements attempting to egress or reinforce the region.
- Restrictions: No GRENFOR (NDF) or local militia assets are present.
2. MISSION
Deploy from the COP (Combat Outpost) to conduct a full-spectrum clearance of the valley. Neutralize all enemy personnel, destroy motorized assets (APCs), and secure high-value intelligence at the central Command Area.
3. SUSTAINMENT
- Logistics: Heavy ordnance required for APC neutralization. Resupply remains at COP.
- Medical: Standard CASEVAC procedures.
4. COMMAND & SIGNAL
- Primary Focus: Intelligence recovery and total area denial.
- Signal: Strict EMCON until contact is initiated.
